RATION RASHEED FOUNDATION MOURNS THE SUDDEN DEMISE OF JAIMATI MAJHI

we have handled many medical cases over the years but never posted them on #socialmedia . However this time we need to express gratitude to some of our kind hearted #volunteers  who selflessly came forward to the cause of humanity.

Late.Mrs.Jaimati Majhi Resident of Mayabunder (Karmatang) was diagonised with Cancer in the Pancreas. A #surgeon  from G.B.Panth hospital approached us for transferring her to #chennai  for further treatment.

Since the lady was from a very humble background and did not have #RationCard , it was not possible to avail #AyushmanBharat scheme.

Our volunteers swung into action and arranged for her Airtickets along with her sister. She was admitted in  #RajivGandhi  Govt. General hospital in Chennai with assistance from the same surgeon of #GBPanth #hospital #andamanandnicobar

Inspite of all efforts Late.Mrs.Majhi could not be saved and left for heavenly abode on 18 Sep 22.

At this juncture our volunteer Zahid Hameed From #portblair (Lillypur) who is an employee of #indiancoastgaurd  And

Mr. Arun Srinivasan from Chennai  who is the  Director of #HCL  global Services voluntarily reached the hospital and helped with all the documentation and procedures to release the body from the hospital.

They both conducted the last rites of the deceased and also arranged for the accommodation and travel for the sister of the decased.

Such noble gestures from our volunteers based in mainland speaks a lot about the bond that we islanders share. We thank our volunteers Zahid Hameed Arun Srinivasan Saikat Biswas for arranging return ticket.

We Appreciate the #humanitarian  efforts of  VK Zainudden Vinod (kakoli traders) Dinesh Singh (kings hotel) Debal Debsas Shahid for their contribution in the treatment, travel of Late.Mrs.Jaimati Majhi, May her eternal soul rest in peace...
