SBI Email OTP Authentication- Here Is How You Can Activate It?

 Port Blair, Dec 02:

The State Bank of India (SBI) has increased the security of online transactions by implementing email OTP authentication in an effort to provide greater protection and safety to their online customers. With the launch of this service, SBI customers can now receive OTP notifications for internet banking transactions at the registered email address. Surprisingly, with email OTP, this process will secure digital transactions. How to activate SBI OTP through email: Visit retail.onlinesbi.sbi and enter your User ID and password to login to your net banking account.
1. Go to the 'High Security' options in the 'Profile' section.
2. Proceed to the OTP via SMS and Email.
3. Confirm the application, and a successful message will be sent to your registered email address. SBI users can generate an OTP while performing digital transactions on the Yono Lite SBI application or SBI Internet Banking. They can also generate OTPs by using the "State Bank Secure OTP App," which the bank provides for Internet Banking (INB) transactions made through Onlinesbi and Yono Lite. The application will replace the requirement for net banking transactions to receive the OTP via SMS. Once registered, the application can generate OTP via the application. The apps are available in the Android and iOS app stores. You can generate the OTP for such transactions using your SBI Secure OTP. The OTP can be generated on the app by selecting the "Online OTP" option on the internet banking screen, followed by the "Get Online OTP" option in the Secure OTP App. This option requires the customer to have mobile internet access. The transaction will be approved once the OTP is entered on the net banking screen. According to the SBI website, customers should keep these things in mind
1. New functionality to maintain per day and per transaction limits for general merchant payment transactions has been implemented for added security. Please see the Define Limit section of the profile.
2. Call SBI toll free at 1800 1234 and 1800 2100 for a variety of services from the SBI Contact Centre.
3. Mandatory Profile password change after 365 days introduced for added security
4. SBI will never ask for your Card/PIN/OTP/CVV details over the phone, text, or email. Please do not click on any links sent to you via email or mobile. (Source: One India)
