VOLLEY BALL TOURNAMENT BY NYK PORT BLAIR

Nehru Yuva Kendra Port Blair has organized a Volley Ball Tournament (Knockout) at JNRM Sports Ground Saturday in Associated  with  Gram Panchyat , Hope Town and Zila Parishad, Bambooflat which has sponsored by Maharashtra Mandal, Port Blair and  Rotary Club, Port Blair also Supported By WithYou NGO, Bambooflat. A total of 22 teams will be participating in this tournament. The tournament inaugurated today at JNRM Play ground. On the occasion, Swami Shuddhananand Saraswati, Acharya, Chinmoya Mission, Port Blair was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he told the youth that sports play an important role in developing a healthy body and mind. There are many types of sports, which help in our physical as well as mental development. During continuous studies many times there is a situation of tension. In such a situation, sports are a better way to relieve this stress. While, Commandant Sanjay Anchalwar, Indian Coast Guard, Haddo. was the guest of honor and he also told the youth on the occasion that sports keep the human mind happy and excited. Games develop the nature of following the rules and concentrates the mind. All the physical education faculty of the sports department of JNRM cooperated in organizing this tournament Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma,  Shri Amit Kumar Mandal,  and Dr. Milan Kumar Kirtoniya, Shri Rakesh Madhu, and Dr. Dwijesh Bhattacharya. Dr. Sunita Patil of Maharashtra Mandal were also present to grace the occasion. The tournament will be played in two pools, In Pool-A,12 teams of Port Blair region and 10 teams from Pool-B Ferrargunj block will play separate matches at Panighat and the final match between the winning teams of both regions will be played at Panighat. This will help in creating a social unity and integrity among the youth of both the block.  Saturday on 11th February 2023  Pool-A matches was played  at JNRM Port Blair and on 12 February 2023 the tournament of Ferrarganj Block will be held at Panighat, The final game will be held on February 25, 2023 at Panighat. Earlier, Gopal Ch Biswas, Program Assistant of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair welcomed the guests and made the youth aware of the purpose of the tournament and the aims and objectives of Nehru Yuva Kendra.

DIGLIPUR POLICE CRACK RS. 2.5 LAKH GOLD BURGLARY CASE IN 24 HOURS, TWO ARRESTED report by ROHIT Diglipur, Oct 23: A case of burglary involving gold ornaments valued at Rs. 2.5 lakhs was reported at PS Diglipur on 21/10/2024. The case was promptly resolved through the efforts of the PS Diglipur team, resulting in the arrest of two accused persons and the recovery of the stolen property within 24 hours. Reportedly, on 21/10/2024, a burglary case involving gold ornaments valued at Rs. 2.5 lakhs was received at PS Diglipur by SmtiDipikaMistry, W/oShriMithunKar (26 yrs), R/o RK Gram, near VKZPV School, Diglipur.
