ENCROACHMENT EVICTION DRIVE AT SCHOOL LINE & CHOULDARI

Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 20: In a decisive move to protect public assets and ensure the safety of public spaces, the District Administration of South Andaman successfully carried out an eviction drive in school line and chouldari Village. During the operation, revenue officials dismantled an RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) structure that was in the initial stages of construction at Survey No. 200/P at School Line village and an area of 300 sq.mtr was restored in Port Blair Tehsil. In a similar effort, an eviction drive was carried out in Chouldari village, in response to unauthorized construction on government land. The Revenue officials acted to address the situation where an unknown individual had laid the foundation for a structure in Survey No. 329, resulting in the eviction of 200 square meters of land from encroachers in Ferrargunj Tehsil. This decisive action reflects the District Administration’s commitment to defending public property and ensuring its appropriate use. By reclaiming these essential public spaces, the Administration sends a clear and unequivocal message: illegal encroachments on government land will not be tolerated under any circumstances and the Administration will continue its vigilant efforts to prevent unauthorized constructions and encroachments. The District Administration calls upon the public to respect government property and strictly warns that any future attempts at encroachment will attract severe legal consequences.
