SOUTH ANDAMAN POLICE REGISTERS TWO NDPS CASES, ARREST TWO PERSONS

Sri Vijay Puram, Oct 25: In a series of successful operations conducted during this week, the South Andaman District Police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 2.341 kg of ganja. The arrest of these drug peddlers and the seizure of such a significant quantity of ganja in just one week underscores our commitment to ensuring a drug-free society.  Based on specific intelligence inputs, the team of Police Station Aberdeen conducted targeted raids at two different locations in this week. On 24/10/2024, a raid was executed at Phoenix Bay by the dedicated team led by Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen, the team comprised of Inspector MithunKirtania, Sub Inspector AbhishekHaldar, Head Constable S Jiju, Constables Jairaj, MohdRafique, JagdishBabu, Surender Singh and NawElieen. The raid leading to apprehension of one RajibSarkar, 33 years, private worker R/o Delanipur with 2.140 Kg Ganja.  Another successful raid was conducted on 22/10/2024, near Junglighat cremation ground by the team, which leading to apprehension of one Chandveer @ Rahul, aged 29 years, R/o Junglighat with 201 grams of ganja. Cases under relevant sections have been registered against the accused persons. Investigations are ongoing to identify any further links. The entire raids were supervised by Miss. AnushthaKalia, IPS, SDPO South Andaman and over all supervision of Smt. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police South Andaman District.  The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100, 03192-236641& 03192-232400. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.

DIGLIPUR POLICE CRACK RS. 2.5 LAKH GOLD BURGLARY CASE IN 24 HOURS, TWO ARRESTED report by ROHIT Diglipur, Oct 23: A case of burglary involving gold ornaments valued at Rs. 2.5 lakhs was reported at PS Diglipur on 21/10/2024. The case was promptly resolved through the efforts of the PS Diglipur team, resulting in the arrest of two accused persons and the recovery of the stolen property within 24 hours. Reportedly, on 21/10/2024, a burglary case involving gold ornaments valued at Rs. 2.5 lakhs was received at PS Diglipur by SmtiDipikaMistry, W/oShriMithunKar (26 yrs), R/o RK Gram, near VKZPV School, Diglipur.
