Billyground, 2015 October 18 :  report by Rohit Two burglars namely Nitish Kumar Karmakar age, 19 yrs and Shishendu Das, 17 years R/o Harinagr were caught by the team of Billyground Police recently. According to reports, these two burglars were involved in numerous burglary cases at Billyground. As per reports, last year these two had stolen a Laptop and recently stolen petrol and some amount of cash from Pinaki Nagar Petrol Outlet. For these case, under the Supervision of Station Head Officer, PS Billiground Mr Saravana, a team was constituted, which trapped these burglars on Friday and it is learnt that during interrogation both Nitish Kumar Karmakar and Shishendu Das confessed their crime. Hence on the basis of nature of Burglary, Police registered a case under section 457 & 380 IPC and produced both of them before the court at Mayabunder on Saturday. Both are sent to the Judicial Custody.

SOUTH ANDAMAN POLICE CRACKS BURGLARY CASE WITHIN HOURS report by ROHIT  13 June 2022 Port Blair, June 12: Once again the PS Aberdeen Police cracked a burglary case within hours, which has reportedly occurred in the ration shop, R.K. Super Market at Mohanpura during night hours on 08/06/2022 by arresting the accused person and recovering stolen property. The burglary case was reported at the PS on 09/06/2022 morning. As per the complainant, on 08/06/2022 during night hours, some unknown person had broken into his ration shop, R.K. Super Market at Mohanpura and taken away Rs 12,000 cash and two Samsung mobile phones. Upon this, an FIR was registered and investigation taken up by SI Rangaswamy of the PS. A team was constituted consisting of SI Rangaswamy (IO), HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PC S.N Rao, PC Sandeep Lakra, PC Sonu Yadav, PC/406 S N Pathak and PC Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Inspr. The deceased has been identified as LK Manikandan, a Physical Education Teacher at Govt. SS. School, Mannarghat. According to reports, the tragic incident occurred in the afternoon on Friday when Manikandan after finishing his school duties was returning back to his house in a motorcycle when he was hit by a heavy truck in front of Bambooflat Masjid at about 2;15 pm. MAJOR ACCIDENT AT JUNGLIGHAT GUTS 9 SHOPS; NO ONE INJURED PORT BLAIR - 3 FEB report by rohit A major fire broke out behind Durga Puja Pandal at Junglighat on Tuesday 31 January, gutting 9 roads side shops. According to sources, many roadside shops, including a barber shop, stationary shops, sweet shops, eatery and a doubles storied wooden house of the landlord was completely gutted in the fire accident which occurred at 10.40 pm Wednesday. The fire reportedly started at about 10.40 pm in one of the shops and soon engulfed the entire roads sides shops, totally destroying some of the shops, including the house of the landlord located adjacent to these shop. People have also heard a LPG Cylinder blast. Eight fire tenders rushed to the spot and after battle for an hour, the fire blaze was put under control.
